Homework:

You will be writing a standard 5 paragraph essay on some topics that we have talked about in our class so far this year. Follow this instruction sheet to know exactly how to do the paper. The paper is due on October 18^th and late assignments will not be accepted. If you are absent the day the paper is due, you must have a parent excuse as to why you were absent. Otherwise, I will not accept your paper.

Paragraph 1: (Type the following in your first paragraph word for word.)            

               The Book of Genesis is the first book in the Bible that tells of creation and the covenant. Three major themes/stories in the book of Genesis are the story of Adam and Eve, Abraham and the covenant and the tale of Jacob, Esau, Leah and Rachel.

Paragraph 2: Depending on what you put in the first blank (the first thing underlined above), write a paragraph on that topic. Remember that this paragraph is at least 5 sentences, however, make sure that you tell the whole story. Don’t leave out any details. If you need to write more than 5 sentences then do so.

Paragraph 3:   For this paragraph, define what a covenant is. Then tell me the three promises that God made in His covenant to Abraham. This needs to be as many sentences as you need to answer the questions.

Paragraph 4: Depending on what you put in the third blank (the third thing underlined above), write a paragraph on that topic. Remember that this paragraph is at least 5 sentences, however, make sure that you tell the whole story. Don’t leave out any details. If you need to write more than 5 sentences then do so.
